Dwarka

Biggest residental subcity in Asia, directly bordering southwest of Delhi. Nearby airport. She grows and grows and grows. More-storeyed apartement buildings are united into pockets, fenced and at the entrances there are watchmen overlooking everything. Several of these pockets build a sector.

Each of these 29 sectors has a smaller or bigger area with shops. 80% of the buildings are residental and just 20% for commercial use.

Usual indian offers for leisure time facilities as cinema, shopping malls, amusement parks or similare are very rare.

Earlier here existing villages have been suburbanised. There are huge non-used areals, but there are more and more buildings constructed on these.

As my freinds live there, it is my point of entry when I arrive in Delhi. Since my first visit in 2006 this area really fascinates me.
